XAVIER TOBY

Australian writer Xavier Toby has been cursed since birth with two first names. He hasn’t let that get the better of him. He also contributes as one of many writers to the blog How To Pick Up. He also does film reviews for Lost At E Minor. Xavier’s always going through a crisis. At the moment he can’t understand why his dream job doesn’t exist. Where he swims every morning, reads novels all day, writes fiction, sits around with like-minded individuals having intellectual conversations and goes on regular holidays to exotic locations. Previously he has written music, lifestyle, travel, food, hard news, politics – just about everything really. He even made a couple of short films and has written some scripts. Currently he is working as a journalist but is desperate to write a novel – about how disillusioned he is with the world and how much he doesn’t get it, at all. For example, if humans are so similar why do we bother with borders? Surely everyone deserves the same level of healthcare and education from birth. We shouldn’t discriminate just because someone was unlucky enough to be born in Africa, while Xavier hit the jackpot being born into a white, middle-class existence. Oh and he’s determined to change the world at some stage, but that will come after he’s found a love interest, which is taking a lot longer than he had hoped. Any decent story needs a sexy, fiery, intelligent love interest.
